Vintage Antique White Wood French Arm Chair EMBROIDERED Fabric GORGEOUS! This is a really GORGEOUS vintage antique white wood French Louis XV style upholstered arm chair with an upholstered cameo back! Purchased at an estate sale they said it was probably from the 1950s or 60s and that they had paid a LOT of money for it so many years ago. This is a WONDERFUL chair made in the French style. The material is just BEAUTIFUL and it is embroidered pink, red, green, salmon, and blue on a white background. I dont know what this fabric is called but it is REALLY LOVELY no matter what it is called! I also dont know what the wood is other than hardwood with antique white. The wood is carved all around the legs and in the back of them too. Distinctive long legs with carvings! The chair is very solid and sturdy. The arms, seat and back rest are cushioned so this is very comfortable. The cushion is reversible and the pattern on the chair bottom fabric goes all the way to the back of the chair under the cushion as can be seen in 5th photo from left. The chair measures 36 1/2” tall to the top of the cameo back, measures 27” from the wall to front leg, 22 arm to arm. The seat measures 18 wide by 19 deep. It is about 20” from the floor to the seat top. The chair is structurally VERY strong and ready for home or office use. Condition is really great for a chair this old or any chair! The material is in GREAT condition with hardly any wear on the fabric and minuscule wear on the material on the arms. The wood is really good too with just a little wear under the arm and down the side of one leg and above it. The horizontal area that is in front under where you would sit has a few small dings. A few scuffs to the legs and a few small dings but not bad at all. (please see last 3 photos for what I have just described) The arms, seat and back rest are cushioned so this is very comfortable.
