For sale is this magnificent Brazilian Rosewood expandable mid-century dining table, now in majestic condition after undergoing a full restoration. Circa 1960-70s and lovingly restored with a keen restorative eye to detail, normally Danish dining tables are made of teak so this is indeed unique being its made of rosewood...its both quite stunning and unique. The usage of Brazilian Rosewood was banned in the early 1990s, making rosewood furniture in-general more rare and highly sought-after as theyre no longer being produced...and would be a beautiful table for your family/guests to gather around for the next 30+ years. OVERVIEW: This rectangular beauty is not your average dining table...rather part functional furniture and part work of art. This is one of the nicest rosewood beauties Ive ever completed...the rich-and-dark rosewood is absolutely gorgeous and would be a beautiful table for your family/guests to gather around for the next 30+ years, then pass along to the next generation for their enjoyment too. Most notably, it features a 1.5 thick tabletop edge that completely encases the concealed leaves underneath (like a lid); in short, its unique with the utmost quality and in pristine condition after being recently restored. This is Danish quality and styling at its finest, made by well-known Danish manufacturer Vejle Stole Mobelfabrik. SIZE/DIMENSIONS: The scale of this dining table would be best suited for smaller-to-medium dining spaces. It is 47.5 x 33 at is smallest, then extends to 83 when fully extended with the two 17.75 draw-leaf extensions conveniently concealed under the tabletop - thats enough for 8 people! Table height is 28.5 high. CONDITION: Ive restored numerous rosewood pieces over the years and this one is one of the most exquisite and unique, deep-and-dark old-growth rosewood coloring and overall condition. Its just been lovingly restored/reconditioned so it now exudes a beautiful sheen with that lovely warm rosewood glow to showcase the beautiful wood-grain throughout. As with all vintage furniture, there are small signs of wear/patina throughout that Ive addressed but this one came out brilliant. Overall, it presents beautifully. CHAIRS (NOT INCLUDED): Rosewood tables obviously look great with rosewood dining chairs but Ive also found more modern chairs work great too...painted, Ikea, metal and/or black-toned chairs/bench would blend quite well. PLEASE NOTE this table is not in vintage or as-found good condition as youll see on many local furniture listings. Keen attention was paid to lovingly bring this beauty back to life with a complete restorative overhaul and high-quality protective finish/coating so itll last for another 30+ years of dining.
