This model is close to the Hancock and Moore’s chair design called “Austin”. We’ve had this in our living room for some years however we’re thinning out furniture in prep for a transition and this has to go. We’re probably keeping the cowhide pillow. Hancock & Moore is truly amazing furniture. If you want something super comfy for your log cabin or rustic country style decor this might be the one for you. I can actually sit in this without a back pillow which almost never happens for me. Definitely has a “broken-in” feel like a comfortable pair of faded blue jeans. As you can see there is some wear or distressing on the contact surfaces but in my opinion it just gets better over time and use. Some texture to the leather on the arm rests as you can see. If a more consistent shade is desired I’ve had great success with shoe polish but I’ll leave that up to you. Measures 36” tall at the back and 43” at the widest, 43” deep and almost 21” high seat (without being compressed while sitting). I asked ChatGPT what the this chair would have retailed for and this what it gave me: Original Retail Price (when new) These were not inexpensive pieces.
