This is a complete run from January/1890 thru December/1907, all 936 Weekly Issues. This is one very comprehensive subset. Each Binding is 3/4 Thick~Coarse Cloth with Marble Boards. TIGHT Bindings with CLEAN Text Blocks on all 36 volumes. Each Spine is Banded with Title, Year and Volume Number in gilt. Expect occasional pinpoint foxing on margins/pages edges, but not much to speak of. Have found just one torn page, which is still complete and could be easily repaired. Might be others, but doubt there are many more - if any. A handful of weekly issues bear original addressee sticker on back page, which are very small and unobtrusive. This is a very clean set of 36 antiquarian volumes. The Scientific American began in 1845 as a weekly publication with special emphasis on the U.S. Patent Office in Washington D.C., but would include all elements of Science and Industry. This excellent journal of American ingenuity and discovery is still being published today as a monthly periodical.
