This beautiful statement making clutch was a part of Guccis 2015 Special Edition Flora collection, specially designed by artist Kris Knight. This collection saw Guccis Creative Director, Frida Giannini, collaborating with artist Kris Knight on a unique interpretation of its iconic Gucci print. According to Gucci, the floral pattern took on new meaning in Kris Knights subversive reading of the floral bouquet featuring nocturnal blossoms revolving around the moonflower. They are beautiful and always stored in heavy duty garment bags. “60 Authentic Scottish wool kilts – Black Watch / Campbell Tartan” “Bulk lot – ideal for pipe band, weddings, or events” 100% wool, authentic tartan imported from Scotland. We waited almost a year to get the fabric sent to Vancouver where they were made. Aljean was a kilt factory in Vancouver BC. They no longer exist. They were worth about $500 each but we had them made especially for us in Vancouver. We got them for cost because the owner was female and wanted to support our group. Because of the traditional outer and inner button along with the kilt pin, they each could be made 2 sizes larger and smaller. This worked really well for teen age girls and adults. They were always well kept and travelled in the garment bags shown in the picture. They were dry cleaned after tours. I believe they are either 26” or 29” in length. I know when we got them, they were selling for about $350 each. Later on, replacements around $500. Of course they are used, but most in excellent condition, they look brand new. A couple have small holes in them from kilt pins. A few were repaired by a tailor who weaved threads in them to patch. The ones with a small hole still have fabric in excellent condition that could be used for ties, or vests. I had ordered extra fabric for the cross ties we wore. Still have some left but I am not sure how many. Photo was taken at Canadian Rocky Mountain Music Festival in the late 90s. This was our traditional uniform. The kilt is black watch. It is authentic fabric ordered from Scotland. Just found out it is the Campbell tartan and my grandma was a Campbell. I love the navy and green. My hair is cut short here. Probably 38 or 39 yrs old. Fun to see Alonna with us. We took the full choir to Great Britain and Germany the next year. This group was my smaller HS group, Cantrix. They were more advanced than the full choir. I trained and graded them and they received HS credit for doing this. Our school division always took the money from the province and I was never compensated financially. I still did it because it mattered to the kids.
