Its the perfect size for a range of spaces, as the dimensions of the piece and the material can hold a TV up to 60 in size and weight. My partner and I recently bought our first home, which has built-in media storage. So we no longer need this TV stand from our previous apartment, where it was used for less than 5 years. There are no visible signs of bowing, and there is little sign of wear and tear throughout the piece, with one exception. To fit our receiver, we did need to alter the back panel by cutting a larger rectangular section at the back of the bottom shelf. Other than that alteration, I would say this piece is in excellent condition and can be used in your home for many years to come. The shelves are adjustable to a few different heights so you can customize the storage to your needs. The main body features warm, amber Douglas fir (or high-grade pine), framed by a darker hardwood (likely walnut or oak) on the trim and base. * Craftsmanship: Features beautiful hand-cut exposed dovetail joints on the corners. * Hardware: Heavy-duty, flush-mounted brass corner guards add great mid-century character and durability. Condition and Usage: This is a beautiful, custom homemade piece, and while it is of very good quality, it may not be best suited for constant opening and closing. There was a split in the wood where the hinges attach, but it has been glued, which should leave it as strong as the original wood. Even so, it will benefit from gentle treatment. Also has a crack on the side towards the bottom that I glued so it should be pretty solid but I couldnt really get it to seat properly so it definitely shows. We can just call it character, but you should definitely be aware of it, but it has been glued with high quality wood glue so it should be stabilized. Please see picture. It does not currently have a lid support mechanism, so it probably should have a bracket installed to keep the lid from overextending when opened. A suitable stay or bracket could easily be sourced from a local hardware or woodworking shop. Or, would serve perfectly well as a coffee table, end table, or decorative piece. But still a solid usable chest. Overall, it is structurally solid, has an authentic vintage patina, and is ready for use. Dimensions: 38.5 in. Long x 21 in. Wide x 17 in. This is a really nice 3 pc sectional we bought new , but we did not buy the corner piece. That way we could have a really long 14 foot couch very nice shape. We purchased extra 5 inch foam to help raise the height of the seating area, since we are seniors to make it easier to get up and out of. You can use the foam or not your choice. We also have an additional warranty for it. I don’t know if it’s transfer. We believe that the corner unit can still be purchased at the Ashley center in Modesto.
