O.b.o., Checked the drive and augers and everything turning, I replaced the defective auger belt. John in Eagle River by Fred Meyers text ak 242-83two4 Technician comments; I restored this machine as needed (it had a head gasket leak). I disassembled and serviced the starter motor, cleaning the commuter, and greesing the bendex gears. greased and, oiled everything I could get at, which is time consuming, replaced any missing hardware and adjusted the cable adjusters as needed.. Made repairs as needed. (restoration as needed, such as going through the carb while I was right there, accessable, covers off, resurfaced the valves, they looked like new!, the cylinder is in excellent shape so I left the aluminum oxide cladding alone as it is head tempered now, honing would disrupt the metal. The Tecumseh 5 horse is popular with snow blowers of this size and is known for its easy starting in cold weather, Started with the electric start. Price is o.b.o. , consider, I put alot of good work into this machine, bringing it back from disrepair. Replaced OEM head gasket. (I have yet to use it as I (just finished) am finishing up and will update this week. Often times they come with a 5 horse, so it should have enough power for its size. 24 swath, I believe it is a 10 auger throat I forget, I will measure it again, (yes.. 10) This is a 2 stage snowblower with manual shoot adjustment which works as it should. As pictured. O.b.o., end of season clearance. Now 200. Snow blower snowblower plow snow plow Update: I noticed the governor is not working so the throttle (idler screw) can be turned up for deep snow with a screwdriver. I may fix the governor later. Or use it as is. (The main advantage of the governor is to (automatically) open the throttle up when the engine bogs down in deep snow, you would just turn up the idle screw at this point.) John.
