This is not the 000-28EC Eric Clapton model. This is the 30th Anniversary Model and are available only through March of 2026. I bought this new in July of this year. I bought it and have decided to sell most of my small body guitars. My loss is your gain on a new guitar. This guitar model, according to Martin will be available through March of ‘26 and then retired. I may have played it a total of an hour or so. It is the short scale of 24.9 , 1-11/16 nut , 2-1/8” width at12th fret, early 30’s authentic styled neck and OM 42 inlays. Per Martins website: Celebrate three decades of Eric Clapton’s legendary collaboration with Martin Guitar with the 000-EC 30th Anniversary acoustic. Available only through March 2026, this milestone model features solid East Indian rosewood back and sides and a solid spruce top for a rich, resonant tone, accented by fine herringbone trim and antique white binding. This limited-edition signature model is further distinguished by its genuine mahogany neck and Authentic 1939 shape, inspired by the pre-war Martin Eric played during his iconic MTV Unplugged performance. Not only does it offer a shorter scale length, but vintage-inspired touches include a slimmer nut width and Golden Era 42-style snowflake inlay on its ebony fingerboard, combining classic looks with effortless playability. Each guitar includes a paper label with Eric’s pre-printed signature, a printed certificate of authenticity to further commemorate our longstanding partnership, and a premium, embroidered case. It even comes strung with Clapton’s Choice phosphor bronze strings for his preferred sound and feel. 000-14 Fret body size East Indian Rosewood back and sides Spruce top Antique Toner Authentic 1939 with Standard Taper Top Material: Spruce Finish Top: Gloss Top Color: Antique Toner Top Inlay Material: Fine Herringbone Top Detail: None Binding: Antique White Bridge Material: Ebony Bridge Style: Modern Belly - Drop in Saddle Bridge String Spacing: 2 1/8 Bridge Pin Material: White Plastic Bridge Pin Dots: Abalone Pickguard: Faux Tortoise Pickguard Inlay: None Rosette: Fine Herringbone with Multi-Stripe Saddle: Compensated Bone Saddle Radius: 16 Construction: Dovetail Neck Joint Back Material: East Indian Rosewood Side Material: East Indian Rosewood Back and Side Finish: Gloss Back and Sides Color: Natural Back Detail: None Side Detail: None Back Purfling/Strip: Zig-Zag Back Inlay Material: Multi-Stripe Side Inlay Material: None Bracing Pattern: X-Brace Brace Shape: Scalloped Brace Material: Spruce Brace Size: 5/16 Heelcap: Antique White Endpiece: Antique White Endpiece Inlay: Multi-Stripe Neck Shape: Authentic 1939 Neck Taper: Standard Taper Neck Material: Genuine Mahogany Neck Color: Dark Mahogany Finish Neck: Gloss Scale Length: 24.9 Number of Frets Total: 20 Neck Joins Body At: 14th Fret Fingerboard Material: Ebony Fingerboard Width at 12th Fret: 2 1/8 Fingerboard Width at Nut: 1 11/16 Fingerboard Inlay Style: GE 42 Snowflake Fingerboard Inlay Material: Select Abalone Fingerboard Binding Material: None Side Dots: White Headstock Shape: Solid with 1939 Taper Headplate Material: East Indian Rosewood Headplate Logo Style: Authentic Script Style Overlay Headplate: Polished Tuning Machines: Nickel Open Gear Knob: Butterbean Nut Material: Bone Case: Hardshell Label: Paper Label w/Pre-Printed Eric Clapton Signature, Numbered in Sequence w/No Total Pleked: true Travel to Martins Website for any info I might have left out ,, the polished headplate really adds to the overall beauty of the guitar as well as the Herringbone body and rosette inlay.
