This impressive, and exceptional, Tribal-designed, HERIZ, oriental rug is a striking and beautiful oriental rug, with a rich and warm color pallet. This spectacular HERIZ was hand knotted in the 1940s, in TURKEY. The exact size is 13.0x10.5 (so just slightly larger than 13x10). And 13x10 is an unusually large size for the HERIZ style of rugs. Typically these rugs are in the approximately 8x10 to 9x11size range. Larger than that is fairly rare, which also makes this a very expensive and unusual piece. This HERIZ is in excellent condition with no wear spots, no stains, and a pile and design that are both, beautifully intact. HERIZ rugs, in general, are hard to obtain. And in this size range, as stated above, it is very rare. Very few HERIZ rugs were produced in the 1930s-1960s, and they are in tremendous demand because of their striking designs. So when they are up for sale, they get quickly snapped up. This rug has a crimson red colored field, surrounded by four ivory wings, one at each corner, and an ebony and crimson red outer border that matches the interior feel and central medallion. So the entire rug has an even and consistent look to the design. All of this is centered by a large diamond shaped central medallion. It is an impressive looking oriental rug, that will enhance any room in which you place it. This HERIZ could be used in many decor settings, including traditional, contemporary, transitional, or even modern. We used this HERIZ to stage a main floor family room, and it visually enriched the whole house. (We take the rugs back after the home sells and sell them for a portion of their cost to reduce the initial staging fee.) It is a unique and special piece that will be impressive in your home.
