Description: Beautiful antique American Golden Oak era (circa 1890–1920) desk / bankers / library armchair. This is a stationary, rigid four-legged version (not a swivel chair), making it structurally stable and perfect for a home office, library, or accent piece. Key Features:Solid Oak Construction: Gorgeous quarter-sawn golden oak wood with a prominent, classic grain pattern. Includes a decorative cutout handhold on the curved top crest rail. Hand-Woven Cane Seat: Genuine hand-caned seat meticulously looped through individual drilled holes in the frame (traditional premium craftsmanship, not a cheap pre-woven mesh insert). The webbing is in excellent, clean condition with fantastic tension and no breaks. Comfortable Design: Features contoured, splayed armrests supported by solid curved posts. Condition:Excellent vintage condition overall. The wood finish looks wonderful, and the cane seat is incredibly well-preserved. It is a little wobbly as is common with functional 100-year-old wood furniture, but it remains fully functional, strong, and ready for everyday use. No manufacturer stamps or markings remaining. A sculptural tripod base features sweeping cabriole legs, scrolling accents, carved foliage, and distinctive carved feet that give the table an elegant, balanced profile. The table retains its original vintage character and has been carefully inspected by our studio for structural stability, secure construction, and proper operation of the tilting mechanism.
