Just for the record: Im not a professional sound guy, just a retired Electrical Engineer ... (with a failing memory, apparently). I dont remember how I acquired some of these units, but they all need to find a new home. Ive had them for at least eight years! I am selling these as a lot - one price for all. I have noted the operating status of each unit as best I can, but I dont have any means to test these with real signals (i.e. balanced input/output or XLR) except as noted. Aside from appearing to work OK from the front panel, I cannot guarantee that they function 100% properly. I have priced them low and as a lot to reflect that you are taking a chance on these. All units have a few scratches on top from rack mounting, but otherwise look good. I do not have User Manuals for any of these, but they should be available on-line. ParaSound P/SP-1500 AV Processor/Preamplifier Nice looking unit. It powers up fine and all front panel controls appear to work (can switch channels and can adjust volume). I did not pass signals through this unit, so I cannot comment about functionality. Crown SMX-6 Automatic Mixer RS-232 control. I did power this up and power supplies look good. The power transformer hums mildly while powered on, but power consumption is right at the specified 20 Watts, so nothing is wrong except the power transformer is a little noisy. I really have no way to control this one for testing. Behringer MDX4400 I powered this unit up and ran a signal generator (unbalanced) into each channel. The front panel indicators, switches and controls appear to function normally with the exception of the rightmost channel, which appears to have either noisy pushbutton switches or a noisy potentiometer. Exercising the switches (on-off cycling) appears to help. I did not look at any output signals. DOD 844 Series II Quad Noise Gate I powered this one up, but really dont have any way to test the unit except to say that the internal power supplies are good. The only general comment I have is that the pushbutton switches (and probably all the potentiometers) will need a little exercise to be totally reliable. I cannot comment on functionality other than all panel LEDs will come on after a few seconds. I am asking $100, cash only, for the lot, unless you can convince me to accept less. Please respond via CL email WITH YOUR PHONE NUMBER and I WILL CALL YOU to arrange for pickup and to answer any questions.

Here for sale is a extremely rare 1953 Kay TV-21 Upright Bass with what appears to be its original case. I know of only three of these basses to be documented, to my knowledge none were for sale. This bass isfully labeled and in factory condition with the exception of a decades-old professional nut area repair. It also has a new set Diaddario Helicore Hybrid strings. The bass has been blacklighted and it is original. Some people may know these were produced only in 1953 and they were not catalog but they were projected towards the television industry. I will attach a paragraph on the history of them here: The TV model basses were produced in 1953 for the television industry. The reason for the special bass had to do with the reflection. The bright lights of the TV industry demanded special paint. For the TV models, the primer was a gray primer and then a flat paint usually gold-colored. They were two TV models, a TV-1 which had rosewood trimmings, and a TV-21 which had ebony trimmings. The TV basses were basically M-1 basses with a special paint job. Curly maple tops have been reported (while refinishing) as well as backs with larger reflecting surfaces. The paint on the TV-1 and TV-21 may be different and so far the pictures received do not show any purfling on either model. I have saw photos from Johnny Cashs Grand Ole Opry debut And Marshall Grant was playing a TV-21 with the exception of it was a C-1 model. Other famous and notable TV models includes Bill Blacks TV-1 which he played and recorded with Elvis with, which Paul McCartney currently owns. This particular TV-21 model features Brazilian rosewood trim that is the fingerboard and the tail piece, it plays and sounds extremely well, further set up would be a personal touch to the new buyer. I do have a video available for sound sample, I am asking $5999 cash or best reasonable offer In the local area. I would possibly entertain a trade of equal value or a trade with cash towards equal value for a Gibson Mastertone banjo or vintage Martin guitar, feel free to ask any questions sold as is no returns.and feel free to ask any questions sold as is no returns.
