Listing is for 1 chair but I have a total of 5 attractive French Louis XIV style painted polychrome? side chairs with possibly original paint and patina? but I obtained these chairs decades ago from an old Santa Barbara bed and breakfast place and Ive had them in storage for close to thirty years. They are in the condition that I bought them a long time ago. They appear to have been restrapped underneath and 3 cushion material covered in white probably cotton to allow you to put your own upholstery choice on them. They are sturdy still and there is a tightening knob in the back of each back leg that is a good design idea to tighten the chair legs if necessary. Each chair Has an oval domed back and balloon shaped backsplat, upholstered cotton or linen seat, raised on 4 fluted cabriole legs. In the style of French Louis XIV. Possibly made by Widdicomb or Jansen but I find no makers mark on them. They are in sturdy ready to reupholster and paint if you want them painted condition. Any staining on the white fabric would be resolved with your upholstery. H 8 is 38 in the Back from the floor to the top of the highest part of the oval, Back at widest part is approx 151/4 wide Seat is 19 from the floor and is 3 thick currently, you can add more padding with your upholstery project. X The seat is approx 171/4 rounded Selling as each chair, if you want to purchase all 5 chairs, Ill take off 10 for the lot. Otherwise the price if per chair. 1 of the chairs is more stained than the others have light staining from storage. First buyer gets pick of chair, however all 5 are same sturdy condition and all would require your preferred upholstery to finish them off. This sale is for 1 chair, with a total of 5 available.
