Beautiful antique Victorian-style high-back armchair featuring an ornate carved wood frame, olive green velvet upholstery, deep button tufting, and detailed pierced carvings throughout. The chair has an unusually elaborate design with carved faces/figures along both sides of the backrest, decorative bird carvings at the top crest, carved legs and frame, and a fully upholstered high back. Based on the construction and design, this appears consistent with late Victorian / Renaissance Revival furniture, possibly late 19th to early 20th century. There are no visible manufacturer markings or labels, so the exact maker and age are unknown. Overall very good condition considering its apparent age. The wood has normal age-related wear/patina and the upholstery shows some light wear/fading. Please see all photos for condition.
