One (1) Twin Solid Oak Platform Bed •Purchased in Philadelphia around 1995. Footboard ~26 H and Headboard is ~38 H • Used by our son until about 2008 • Condition: Very good condition with normal nicks and bumps from use and age but overall, I would say still in very good to excellent condition. Note that on the footboard on the one edge it is much darker than the other wood. Dont know if that is grain color or if we had it up against something. New owner can decide if they want to very, very lightly sand and put an oak stain on it. • Has been stored disassembled since 2008 • Goes with just about any kids décor • Note: Both my boys were 6’ – 6’2” by the time they left for college and at that point the beds were too short. So, you will see that the length is 6’3” however assuming your head isn’t up against the headboard and your feet aren’t against the footboard I wouldn’t recommend for anyone taller than 5’10” - 6 maximum. • Most of the twins you see are pine not oak so don’t be fooled. These are rock sold and heavy. To build one yourself the cost of the wood would be more than the cost of this bed. David, the buyer of the twin to this one is a carpenter by profession and told me to buy the oak wood would cost ~2X what he paid for the complete bed. He had looked in furniture stores and found everything in this price range of poor quality. Vintage teak tall sideboard with wooden handles, stretcher base and wooden legs, made in the U.K. circa 1960s by Alfred Cox. At upper left is a long, adjustable-height open shelf that used to have lights underneath, so there is a gap between the shelf and the back. At upper right is a drop-down door that opens to space ideal for storing bottles or other tall objects. Thel adjustable shelf is no longer present, but you could find a replacement if desired. Along the bottom is a double door cabinet space with a long removable shelf inside, next to three drawers, the top of which is felt-lined with flatware dividers. Good vintage condition with some wear from age and use, including scratches on the left side. 60.75 long, 18.25 deep at the bottom, 12 deep at the top, 52.25 high. $995. 2. Vintage teak sideboard with curved front, sculpted pulls and H-style tapered square legs. Its quite a charming piece, an interesting design with a bit more flair than many of its contemporaries. On the left is a cabinet with a swinging door opening to a fixed shelf, in the center is a drop-down door with a fixed shelf inside, and on the right are three drawers, the top of which retains its original flatware dividers over red felt. Made in the UK by Beautility circa late 1960s. It is in good vintage condition with some expected wear from age and use. 72.25 long, 17 deep at the sides, 18.75 deep at the center, 30.25 high. $1650. 3. Vintage compact teak tall sideboard bar, made in the U.K. by Greaves & Thomas circa 1960s. It features clean Danish modern styling with sculpted teak pulls and long tapered legs with stretcher base. Its a nice combination of sideboard and bar, both attractive and functional, and ideal for small spaces with a mix of storage and display space. On the left is a tall door that opens to a bar section with space for bottles and glasses, plus a cool interior glass door that drops down to serve as a workspace. At upper right is a pair of sliding doors that open to storage space with a single fixed-height shelf, with open space below that. At the bottom is a pair of shallow drawers for smaller items. It is in very good vintage condition with some expected minor wear from age and use. 52 long, 17 deep, 11.25 deep at the top, 54 high. $1495. 4. Vintage trestle base teak and rosewood sideboard with sides that are slightly curved outwards, giving it a cool and unique look. It features teak veneers throughout with the exception of rosewood door fronts and drawer pulls. In the center is a bank of four drawers with rounded square rosewood handles. On the sides are rosewood cupboard doors with hidden recessed handles, each opening to a cabinet with removable shelf, full depth on the left and half depth on the right. The insides are beech wood, a lighter wood that makes it easier to see the interior. A finished back with lovely teak grain ensures that it can float in a room, although there are a few original exposed screws in the back. It is in very good vintage condition with some expected minor wear from age and use. 75 long, 19 deep, 28 high. $2195. 5. Vintage mid-century long teak sideboard by Everest, made in the U.K. circa 1960s. This piece features beautifully book-matched grain, cool brass door and drawer pulls, and tapered legs with stretcher base. A symmetrical layout offers a bank of three drawers in the center flanked by double cabinet doors on each end. The top drawer includes a removable felt-lined tray for flatware, and there is a height-adjustable or removable shelf in the left cabinet. The piece is in good vintage condition with some expected wear from age and use. 87.25 long, 17 deep, 28 high. $2250. 6. Vintage long mid-century teak sideboard bar made in the U.K. by White & Newton circa 1960s. This is a real statement piece featuring book matched teak grain on the doors and drawers, a distinctive upturned back edge trim piece, a downward curved front edge and unique oval H-style legs. The left door opens down to reveal a bar cabinet with a half shelf for glasses, plus a removable tray with laminate surface for serving. Next to that are three drawers, the top of which is divided for flatware. On the right, a pair of doors open to storage space with a long, fixed height shelf. The top has been refinished, and the piece is in good vintage condition with some expected wear from age and use. 81.75 long, 18 deep, 28.5 high surface, 30 high at back trim. $2595. 7. Vintage mid-century long teak sideboard bar made in the U.K. by Jentique circa 1960s. This piece features beautiful Danish Modern style, clean lines, distinctive sculpted wood pulls and tapered legs with adjustable feet. On the left side are double cabinet doors that open to a large storage area with a long fixed-height shelf. On the right side is a drop-down door with space for bottles plus a partial shelf for glasses. Center right is a bank of three dovetailed drawers, the top one with dividers for flatware. The top has been refinished, and the piece is in good vintage condition for age and use. 78 long, 17.5 deep, 29.25 high. $1995. 8. A.H. McIntosh Forfar vintage teak double top sideboard, an interesting design that offers two surfaces for use as a server or just for more display space. Three drawers run along the top, the center of which is lined with black felt for flatware. Below are three cabinets, with a drop-down door in the center ideal for taller items, and cupboard doors on the sides, each with an interior fixed shelf. It is very well made, an interesting shape and very functional without taking up too much floor space. Its in good vintage condition with some wear from age and use, including a repair on the right door thats not really noticeable. 67 wide, 18 deep at bottom, 13.75 deep at top, 40 high, 27.5 high lower level. $2750.
