Here are two Thinline style custom builds from K J Gillis of McCloud Guitars. Exceptional build quality, looks, feel and sound. Thinning out my electric guitars. Heres what the builder has to say about them: “A couple of times each year, I go a little above and beyond with one of my custom builds. This time I doubled up and created a stunning set of Twins. These two guitars were built from the same respective pieces of wood, which means that both tops were cut from the same piece of 5A flame maple. The necks were also cut from that same 5A flame maple. The fretboards, you guessed it, the same piece of Bocote. Both guitars were also hand dyed side-by-side, to create an identical finish. They might look slightly different in the photos, but in person, they are exactly the same. Just a pretty face? Hardly. These two guitars are absolutely professional quality studio and stage instruments. Collectible? Huge improvement. Classic Strat sound. And on the Tele, I installed a new bridge plate with brass saddles. The neck profiles are identical both guitars and they are really comfortable to play.
