Tropitan Series by Herb & Shirley Ritts of Los Angeles , Calif coffee table. Features a woodgrain formica top with double rattan edge banding and 3-5 pole rattan legs. The widths measured from the outer rim to the inner rims are 44.25 X 38.5 X 44.25 and 15.25 tall and calculated to the nearest lowest quarter inch. It weighs in at like 37 lbs. This table in this form is considered a rare find. I purchased it and a matching smaller table from a woman living in Wallingford, Vt and she migrated to Vermont from LA, CA. It features its original somewhat worn finish and I consider it to be at at least 9 out of 10 vintage condition. I have detailed it by applying a thin coat of teak oil to the rattan and cleaning and waxing the top. I clamped and secured areas of the banding that needed to be pulled back into the form and secured by tacking and or glue. It is one of the better quintessential mid century pieces of have ever offered over many years. A true statement piece for collectors/ designers/ decorators and us everyday folks. Also shown is the smaller matching side table. I will throw in this fine example at n/c with purchase of the larger table. As of posting I have not looked into the option of shipping and I recommend any prospective buyer secure their own blanket wrap freight shipper. It may be shipped via UPS or FedEx but current pricing could end up being restrictive. The price shown at $375-$425 is for private white glove delivery to most any address within a 275 mile radius of Rutland, Vermont ( 05701).
