PRICE NEGOTIABLE OR BEST OFFER on this antique 1920’s double pedestal executive office desk. This beautiful desk is made of burled walnut. The vintage leather chair, two vintage brass desk lamps and desk blotter pad are included in the deal. This quality double pedestal executive desk is the perfect workspace to furnish your little corner of the world. It came right out of a early office building and dates from around the 1920s. Double pedestal executive desks are becoming harder and harder to find and very sought after. The desk is a hefty 5 feet 6 inches wide and means business. Construction features solid walnut and walnut veneer made to last for generations. This finish is a brown walnut stain with nice graining to the desktop. The desks drawers bears the makers mark, Doten Dunton Desk Company of Cambridge Mass, a name is synonymous with fine commercial furniture. Only the better makers mark their pieces. It was distributed by Clark & Gibby Inc, of New York City. Youll also be glad to know there is ample leg room with this desk. The rectangular shaped top has molded edges with rounded corners above a large center drawer and two pedestals. The central drawer has a secret storage compartment underneath the tray. The left pedestal has a pull-out writing pad above a small drawer, over a large book-size drawer, over another drawer. The right pedestal has another writing pad over 4 drawers. The drawers are 4 corner dovetailed for smooth operation and durability. Another excellent feature is the beveled drawer fronts and line carved corner supports - an invariable sign of quality.
