Carpenter

We specialize in new-build finishing carpentry, and we are looking for Carpenters, and Apprentices for a busy year of scheduled jobs. We offer Carpentry Apprenticeship hours, and experience in all aspects of Finishing Carpentry. You will be working primarily under a Red Seal Certified Carpenter. Ideal candidate is a quick learner, energetic, and has attention to finer details. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and be able to lift and carry doors and materials throughout the day. Your typical tasks would include: -Interior & Exterior Door Installation -Bifold, Bypass, & Pocket Door Installation -Cutting & Installing Window Liners & Sills -Cutting & Installing Window & Door Casing -Cutting & Installing Baseboard -Mantles -Railings -Extra Finishing Details -Door Hardware Installation -Bathroom Hardware Installation -Cutting & Installing Closet Shelving -Commercial Door Hardware Power tools you can expect to use at this job include: -Mitre Saw -Table Saw -Circular Saw -Jig Saw -16g, 18g, & 23g Nails Guns -Router -Power Sanders -Multitool -Drill & Impact Any related experience or tool proficiency is an asset, but not a requirement. Own transportation to and from work is required. Vehicle is preferred, but if you can make it to jobsites on time via bus or bike, then that is no issue. Pay rate will be based upon experience ($22-$40/hr) Jobsites are throughout Greater Victoria. All work is indoors, and heated. Stay dry & warm for the winter. Please email Resume
