Maple jewelry box with glass insert

This jewelry box is made from solid maple hardwood. I used 1 piece of wood, so you can follow thee beautiful grain around the sides of the box. And with our finish, the grain really pops out of the wood. The legs are made from Jataba. They are a deep reddish brown. The sides are 5/8 thick. Out side dimensions are 11 1/2 X 7 1/2 X 4 1/2. Inside it measures 9 3/4 X 5 3/4 X 2 1/4 deep. The lid has a piece of 1/8 glass. It can be left clear, or laser etched with a personal design. (we can laser etch in house for a additional fee, please reach out of you would like info) The glass is not your big box store glass, which is only 1/16 thick. The visible glass measures 7 1/2 X 3 1/2. We try our best to source everything locally. The maple wood was milled near by. The Jataba was left over from a custom order. Our finish is hand made from oils and varnish. It adds depth to the grain, and a silky smooth feel. This is built to last a life time. Unlike what we see coming out of china and the big box stores.
