It does NOT recline, it is just a deep, broad, sink-in-and-stay comfortable seat. Honest part, because surprises at pickup are nobodys friend: this is well-loved leather. It has some fading, and the seat cushion has visible wear in the center where the top finish has worn down to the lighter leather underneath (you can see it clearly in the photos). It is not perfect and the price reflects that. What it IS: structurally solid, no broken frame, no sagging, and genuinely, ridiculously comfortable. Throw a nice blanket or a leather conditioner at it and it has plenty of cozy years left. Bought this bed and mattress in 2024 because we decided we need a bit more bed-space than a Queen Bed afforded. Both the bed and and mattress are only 2 years old.
