I have a Vintage 2008 Emerson Portable AM/FM/TV/Weather Radio (model RP6247S) for sale. It is in very good condition and still works perfectly. Comes in its original box with instruction manual. Makes a great radio to have in times of emergency. This portable radio can operate on either 120VAC 60Hz household current or four AA batteries (not included). The attached 6 long two prong polarized AC power cord stores in the radios battery compartment area on the rear when not in use. When using household current, the batteries are automatically switched off. Fold down handle built into the top rear of the radio makes it easy to carry for portable use. Has a rotary ON/OFF/VOLUME control, band selector slide switch (AM, FM/TV1 and TV2) and rotary tuning control. For NOAA weather radio broadcasts, simply press the large WEATHER band button on top of the radio and use the tuning control located on the back of the radio to find the strongest signal in your area. The radio utilizes two antennas. For AM reception, there is a built-in ferrite rod antenna and for FM, TV and the weather band, it uses a telescopic antenna. There is also a 3.5mm (1/8) headphone/earphone jack for private listening. Using headphones or an earphone disables the internal speaker. The radio measures 9 wide by 5 tall (7 tall with the carrying handle in the up position) by 2.5 deep. The telescoping antenna is 15 long when fully extended.
