The backrest, seat cushion, and armrests are filled with high-density sponge stuffing, providing excellent comfort and support while gently wrapping your body. - It also has USB-A and USB-C Ports not in the description, and not as shown further down on the side of the chair. On the newest models like this one, they moved them from the side of the chair, to the top of the controller, which removes risk to the covering, and makes them easier to use when sitting in the chair. - Assembly is simple and requires no tools—you can set it up in about 20 minutes using the included manual. It is suitable for individuals 51 to 59 and supports up to 400 lbs. No way. Im 62, and sat in it, and it is suitable for someone well taller than me. 20 minutes? Definitely not more than that. All you do is thread a metal pin in each armrest, you drop on the armrests and push them forward, slide the back down on the slides until they click, like any recliner, and connect the color-coded-murphy-proof connectors on the back of the chair to the base and to the 2 power supplies, one for the chair movement, and the other for the comfort features. Back story: - I needed one for wife for use after her knee replacement. They advertised it on Amazon as being real leather. I know, most people like a quality faux leather because they clean up easy and no maintenance, but I wanted leather and the description said it was leather. I passed up a used one that was real leather because I could get this one new, and with dual motor, for not much more. I didn’t want fabric again because I have a manual, non-lift, suede fabric one now, and they are work to keep looking nice, even after stain-guard. Problem: The guy next door and I assembled it and he noticed, this isnt leather like they said. The company came back with that it was. I proved with pictures that it wasnt. In fact, this one is just like the one at the gym. Then I went to send it back, they gave me a label and make me pay shipping, then they pay shipping, and then they didnt pick it up. With this one in limbo, I needed a power lift recliner because she couldnt get up from the other chairs when I wasnt there. I found a used Class II 4-motor medical recliner, and drove 90 miles round-trip to pick it up. While it is not black, no message functions, and does not fold down as flat, it at least is not fabric, and fits her better, so this is the one I decided to keep. After this, Amazon got involved and made it right, and they made them fix their description under About this item. Now I have two, which is why Im selling this one to lick my wounds. Its packed back in the box from when it was to be shipped back, but I will unpack it and re-assemble it either before or after someone who needs it, unless someone wants it in the box, but as mentioned, assembly is pretty obvious, plus they have a video. - The price: The price you see on Amazon is not the price you pay. You also pay shipping and tax and so a $609 chair becomes $724 (see Amazon order image). $500 is almost 1/3rd off, cash of course. As someone who has been watching Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace, there have been nothing close to this nice in this area for $500, none that are new, open box, and not fabric. For anyone with mobility issues for any reason, they look better and work better than having platform under a regular chair. The chair has a 4.6 satisfaction rating on Amazon across 63 verified purchase reviews, with 5-star and 4-star combined equaling 90% Weight: - The manufacturer states it is 145 lbs, the box says 132 lbs, but the base is where most of the weight is, so it requires two normal guys to load it safely, but only one to set it up.
