These Parian porcelain music boxes were made in a limited quantity which makes this box highly collectible. The HMS Pinafore Centennial Music Box by Franklin Porcelain decorative piece that celebrates the 100th anniversary of the “HMS Pinafore” which first appeared in 1878. Manufactured in Switzerland in 1978, this music box is a unique and timeless treasure. The intricate design and high-quality craftsmanship make it a standout addition to any collection. This stunning music box is manufactured in a Wedgewood-style blue Jasperware and it features white bas-relief cameo scenes of Victorian dancers on the lid and sides; the Swiss-made Reuge movement plays “I’m Called Little Buttercup” from the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta and sounds like a harpsichord.
