Guild Pilot SB 602. Made in the USA in 1987. Used (a LOT) but well cared for. Ive owned it since 1995 and played it regularly until my health deteriorated and now I can no longer play. So my old friend has to find a new owner. Im not sad.....we ROCKED the joint! This one is the standard Poplar body. It is light but perfectly balanced and a joy to play. 7lbs 5.6ozs. The neck dimensions are much like my 61 Jazz was. 1.56 @ the nut. The rosewood fretboard is clean and devoid of chips and divots. Straight as an arrow. The maple shaft is unmarred with nothing more than normal play wear. No chunks or scars. It comes with the original EMG active pickups. Passive volume and tone controls : V-V-T. The pickups need battery power. A clip under the control cover in back deals with this. This one has the Meullar bridge. Some had the Schaller but only a few. I always used the Dunlop strap locks and will include the strap ends for the set thats on it. There have been no alterations from stock on this instrument. This thing sounds and plays great. I have used round wounds on it all of the time I have had it. Its been great for rock, country, soul, top 40....basically the EMGs deliver whatever you ask them to sound like and whatever style of string and right hand technique you employ. SO. What color is it? Its faded for certain but Ive only seen one other one this color and none with what might have been the original non-faded color. So maybe it was actually Grey/Green?? Theres not a pickguard and its pretty even throughout so not much help in really seeing what it was. I think it might have been Sea-Foam green or blue. In a certain light you can see a blue tint to the tops of the control knobs. One thing for sure, under stage lights it looks great. Ive tried to provide enough pictures to show its detail and damage. I will be cleaning the bridge assembly before it ships. These are very high-end bridges and clean up excellently. It comes in the original hard shell Guild case which is also in very good condition. Latches are all good as is the leather ends and handle. You also get stickers!
