ADK A-51TC Condenser Microphone, Power Supply, Cable & Metal Case. This is a high end ADK Tube Mic great for Vocals, Acoustic Guitars and many other uses. It is clear, warm and beautiful sounding. Add a large diaphragm Condenser mic to your arsenal and get better recordings Tape OP review below; In Tape Op #37, I reviewed the ADK A-51 Model A, a modestly-priced large-diaphragm condenser. Although the Model A is a more affordable mic, the company offers a wide range of products including a top-of-the-line tube series. There are three variations of the ADK tube flagship: the TC (a fixed cardioid), the TT (a variable-pattern), and the CE (a limited edition of the TT with a hand-selected new/old stock GE 6072A Jan vintage tube and a slightly different body). All three models come with a robust shock mount, an aluminum case, a remote power supply (with variable pattern selector on TT and CE models), and requisite cables. For most of the review I used a TT, but Ive tested all three models extensively. For vocals, I invited some local musicians and lay people to do some blind tests. We compared the ADK TT against a Korby Convertible Elam 251, a Neumann U 67, and a U 47. Using an a cappella vocal track, everyone chose the TT and the 251. Most described them as glossy and forward. For round two, I asked the group to pick a favorite: the TT or the 251. The majority chose the 251. For a third test, we ran the same vocals with a full-band backing track. All bets were off. No one could consistently choose one mic over the other. I also tried the TCs and TTs as drum overheads. The results were amazing. The ADKs are simply the finest drum overhead microphones I have ever auditioned. (As a drummer, I have auditioned a ton of mics in search of a sound that satisfies me). Typically, overhead mics represent the kit or the cymbals well, but not both. The ADK is the best of both worlds for drums. The snare and toms have a round, meaty tone, and the cymbals are silky, but not harsh. There have been several recordings where I miced the whole kit, but kept only the ADKs and the kick mic for the final mix. The TT and CE are great in omni mode for acoustic guitars and percussion. I like them in figure-8 mode for many vocalists. They can also be very effective on guitar amps, especially tweed and blackface combos. If you can get by with just a cardioid mic, there is no other mic in this price range that can touch the TC. Please reread the last sentence. If you have some extra cash, I advise the TT or CE for the extra flexibility. If youre still holding out for a big name mic, consider this: when people play our recordings they dont know what mic we used. They just hear the sound. With ADK tube mics, I get the sounds I want at a price I can afford. I urge you to get these in your studio for evaluation. Ill bet they wont be going back to the dealer!

NOTE: SOLD THE ROSEWOOD FG 830. THE MAPLE FG 840 IS STILL AVAIL. AND AWAITING A NEW HOME. BEAUTIFUL NEW INSTRUMENT! Up for sale are a PAIR OF YAMAHA FGS (FOLK GUITARS) DREADNOUGHTS IN MUSICIANS GEAR BRAND NEW NICE BLACK PERFECT FITTING HSCS, BOTH NEW AND UNMODIFIED AND NEARLY UNPLAYED IN ANY WAY, PERFECT IF YOU WILL. I bought these two Yamaha Acoustics a couple years ago, I believe both 2021s, at any rate, both from same year, first letter of serials both H, meaning they come from same year, sorta a matched pair. Got an FG 840 in awesome Flamed Maple and an FG 830 in Rosewood because I was growing tired of the electro-acoustic sound (and weight) and wanted a stripped-down, back to basics lightweight pure acoustic, resonate sounding guitar again and I wanted to test out the Flamed Maple (FG 840) and compare it with the Rosewood (FG 830), couldnt decide. Figured I would keep the one I loved the most and sell the other, only problem is I couldnt bring myself to part with either. They both sound different but awesome, a nice pair if you got some money. The maple body 840 is bright, loud, defined and crystalline, every note rings loud and clear. All the top end early Gibson acoustics had maple bodies for these very reasons, plus the Maple 840 is stunning to look at, always been a sucker for a large maple bodied acoustics. Just the looks of this guitar sold me quick. Both have the rosewood fingerboards and bridges, which are compensated for better intonation and full awesome ivory-colored bindings on everything (these are both higher end models in the FG line, the 840 being higher than the 830 even). The rosewood fingerboards and bridges are now nearly a thing of the past, (can you say Indian Laurel?) Both with original strings still. Both of these weigh in at a lightweight 4.5 lbs. and both with the natural light thin finish, SOLID awesome Sitka Spruce tops, and as mentioned, no stinkin pickups and batteries to fool with, just the way God intended acoustics to be! Want a nice pickup, you can put in an awesome sound-hole pickup, they got a bunch out them that sound great, look great, and are not particularly expensive and can be taken out when you dont need or want em, just sold a bunch of them in fact, good enuf for old Neil or John Prine, God rest his soul, plenty good enough for me! Cleaning house on wifes orders (See other cool stuff for sale by seller). These go for $469.99 for the FG 840 and $349.99 for the FG 830, very cheap for the fine quality, appearance and tone. The identical Musicians Gear hard cases are new with tags still on, two keys inside, never left house, same as the guitars, fit like a glove, the hard cases go for $79.00 each, basic awesome perfect fitting generic black HSCs. They have sat in my climate/humidity-controlled office, no pets, no smoke and in their cases nearly all the time, too many guitars, I guess! Add in sales tax and the FG 840 with case is damn near $600. $450 takes the 840 and hardcase home today. On this platform save expensive sales tax and shipping, which will amount to several hundo. If you want em, buy em, or they move on to larger more expensive platforms for both of us. Give it a week or two here. If youre interested in just one, we sure can do that as well, but like I say, they do make a nice pair if you got the bread and remember with quality musical instruments well taken care of, they usually do not cost you anything to own as you can usually sell them for what you paid (sometimes more). Big thing with acoustics out here in arid west is of course humidity, or lack thereof. Keep them humidified and many ways to do that and products to use that are not expensive. I even use digital hygrometers to measure humidity and those are not expensive either. Got some of those for sale as well (SOLD). There were a lot of reasons why I chose these two from the FG Series, first, I remember when the FG series first came out way back when, well over 50 years ago now, 1966 I think it was, most popular acoustic guitar line in history, changed acoustic guitar market. First really good, imported line of acoustics as I recall it. I bought a new one, an FG 180, loved it to death and played to death. They turned the acoustic guitar market upside down. They were awesome and cheap and durable and sounded in some peoples opinion, like a little brother to a Martin and only got better with age and playing. Lots of pros played em. These are no exceptions, solid Sitka Spruce tops and scalloped bracing (like Martins) but without the huge price tags. Beautiful full cream-colored binding everywhere on both, Grover-style tuners and work just as good, meaning perfect. These are in the upper FG line and as such, have the nicer appointments. I highly suggest you check out the awesome video demo/review Joshua Ray Gooch did of the entire new FG line (it was redone and updated a few years ago), just google The New Yamaha FG Series Overview with Joshua Ray Gooch. Think he either is, or was, with Sweetwater. Kind of gives you a good intro to these and how they look and sound. Of course, tons of other reviews and demos of these guitars, as much as you wanna read and watch. Very well-liked by pros and amateurs alike, great affordable instruments. I would echo what many reviewers say of these guitars, you will not find a better sounding acoustics on the market for the price, period. Both come with their original Yamaha shipping cartons if you want them. Both purchased new from Sweetwater where you can choose by appearance and weight. You see this, item is for sale, no need to ask. Hold on to your hats! This gem is from 1972. Built in the famous Matsumoto, Japan plant. This is where the Epiphones went to be built when the Kalamazoo plant was closed. This is model 5102t, the same model of the Epi Dot the first two years they were there. The Lyle name comes from the LD Heater music co from Portland, OR. They had these guitars built just for them. This is in very good shape and plays nicely. Straight neck, no damages and is a true hollow body as there is no center block. Electronics work and comes in a new, hard shell case. Only issue that I can tell is the pick guard and truss rod cover are missing. New strings. Calls only please. Nine2eight9fivefive2oo6

Vintage Yamaha G100-112, 100 watt transistor solid state amp made in Japan. Fully functional, needs nothing! One of the best clean amplified sounds one will ever experience. Its called the Roland JC-120 Killer for good reason. Original reverb tank and speaker. All looks to be in very good condition under the hood and all original. With the exception of what I recently had replaced (6 pots and pilot lamp). Cosmetically it is in outstanding condition for its age. This is becoming a collectors amp now, but this is built to rock and hold up to road use. Yours for $385 (firm). I live in Los Alamos (between Santa Maria and Buellton), and am often in SB and the SY Valley, but I may be able to meet you further away. You can email me with your name, number and when you want to see it and I will reply as quickly as I can or call/text me at the number provided.

This is a legendary 1988 Chandler Tube Driver (TDR-101), bought new and owned since then by myself. Very clean for pushing 40 years old! The least expensive one of these available online now is over $400 including tax and shipping, so this is a VERY good local deal for someone that has always wanted one of these ... They will only get more expensive. This is THE one to own. It has everything the fabled foot pedal version/model (Eric Johnson, Billy Gibbons, etc.) does and MORE!! These are also used by the great Johnny A, who has a rack full of them that he uses like different channels on his amp rack setup. And yes, it does have that touch sensitive type reaction to your playing, where it can get more aggressive and responsive when you dig in, or clean up when you lay back on your picking attack - just like all great tube based units. Im the original owner. I bought two of these around 1988-89. The other one is long gone. Ive used this one on and off mounted in a rack and its ALWAYS sounded fantastic and worked perfectly, as it does now. It adds depth and dimension, as well as boost, overdrive and warmth if you choose. The front panel has Boost and Bypass rocker switches, Drive, Contour, Bias, Master, Hi. Mid. Lo knobs and a rocker power switch. The back panel features Line and Instrument 1/4 jacks, Line and Instrument 1/4 Input jacks, and a 1/4jack each for a Boost and Bypass foot switch. Built-in power supply. The Contour knob can go from scooped mids EQ to mid-forward tone, with everything in between. The Bias knob works directly on the real AX7 tube in the unit and can add thickness, juice and overdrive - Very cool. Can be used in the studio (or live) as well to warm up synths/keyboards and other instruments/sources. I used it live a lot with a cabinet emulator and went direct - it worked incredibly well. It can also be used in front of any amplifier or in a rack setup, of course. Its very quick and easy to swap out tubes in minutes to try different tones and drive amounts. It takes 12AX7, 12AT7 and 12AU7 varieties all just as well, without anything required other than pulling one out and plugging another in. It currently has an almost new Bugera 12AX7 in it, but will also come with a used Sovtek 12AX7LPS that has a more aggressive sound. On the Chandler Tube Driver, the contour knob shapes the overall tonal balance by adjusting the midrange frequencies, allowing you to dial in a scooped mids sound if turned towards the scooped setting, or emphasize the mids if turned towards the flat setting, effectively influencing the character of your tone without drastically changing the overall gain level. Key points about the contour knob: Midrange focus: Its primary function is to control the prominence of midrange frequencies in your sound. Tone shaping: Turning the knob clockwise generally increases midrange presence, while turning it counterclockwise reduces midrange, creating a more scooped tone. Versatility: This feature lets you adapt the Chandler Tube Driver to various playing styles and genres by fine-tuning the midrange character. The bias knob on a Chandler Tube Driver controls the operating point of the internal tube, essentially affecting the overall character of the overdrive sound by adjusting how hard the tube is pushed, with a lower bias setting producing a more compressed, smooth tone and a higher bias giving a more aggressive, bitey sound. Key points about the bias knob: Tube operation: In a tube, bias refers to the idling current, and adjusting it can change how the tube reacts to signal. Tone impact: Turning the bias knob lower will generally result in less gain and a smoother, more compressed tone, while increasing the bias will add more gain and a sharper, more aggressive sound. Experimentation: Many guitarists use the bias knob to fine-tune their desired overdrive character depending on the playing style and music genre. I hate letting this one go, but Im not playing as much now and have gone to a pedalboard for ease of use in my current setup, so its time to move this on to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have for nearly 4 decades. Got a recent checkup and full bill of health. Previously owned by 90s Sub Pop artist Eric Matthews for many years and used on many records that he released as well as sessions with Dandy Warhols and more. All original with reverb and tremolo. Power Output: The G50 is rated at 50 watts of power, making it suitable for small to medium-sized venues. Speaker Configuration: It typically comes with a single 12-inch speaker, providing a balanced and punchy tone. Channels: The amp includes two separate channels, allowing players to switch between different tones or use different inputs for guitar and microphone. Controls: Each channel features standard controls like volume, treble, middle, and bass, along with a bright switch to enhance high frequencies. Reverb and Tremolo: The G50 includes built-in reverb and tremolo effects, both of which were popular features in amps from that era. Construction: The amp is housed in a sturdy cabinet, typical of Gibson’s build quality during that time, making it durable and roadworthy. Sound and Usage: Tone: The G50 is known for its clean, crisp sound with a relatively neutral tone that some players might find less warm compared to tube amps. However, it can handle pedals well, making it versatile for different styles of music. Versatility: While it may not have the rich harmonic overtones of a tube amp, the G50s solid-state design makes it dependable for clean tones, jazz, and certain rock styles where a clear, uncolored sound is desirable. Collectibility: Vintage Appeal: The Gibson G50 is considered a collectible item for enthusiasts of vintage solid-state amps. Though it may not have the same cachet as some tube amps, its association with the Gibson brand and its reliability make it a sought-after piece for certain collectors. Market Value: Pricing: Depending on condition, the Gibson G50 can vary in price on the vintage market. Factors like original parts, cosmetic condition, and working order will influence its value. Overall, the Gibson G50 is a reliable vintage amplifier with a solid-state design that appeals to collectors and players looking for a dependable, clean-sounding amp with classic 1970s Gibson quality.

This is a tremendous sounding and lightweight 1992 Martin D-16H 92. In my opinion, these are really sleeper guitars and just as good as any forward shifted prewar D-18 style guitar. The Martin D16H was built from 1991 to 1993, and sought to combine vintage D-18 elements with modern neck profiles and led to the D-18V models. Relatively rare, the Martin D16H is one of the hidden gems from the Martin line. Lightweight and built as well as the other Dreadnought models and like the D-18, the D16H features a Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks and neck. Bracing for the top uses a 1930’s forward shifted, scalloped model. The bridge and unbound fingerboard are Indian Rosewood. The back received a Herringbone center strip, and a Herringbone ring around the soundhole. It looks a lot like a D-18. This Martin D16H dates to 1992 – in fact the neck block is stamped ‘D16 H 92’ and was built at the Martin shop in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. It’s in overall good condition with some wear. Fret wear is moderate, and there are a few small dents and dings around the guitar. It has replaced vintage style Grover tuners that need the screws installed, they work fine as is with the nut tightened. The original holes were filled, and it has a lot of saddle left. The action is close to current Martin factory specs,it originally came with an under the saddle pick up, which has been removed. Brand new set of medium gauge GHS strings, it comes with its original Martin case case which is in good condition.
