Every XZ550 tank is rusted out somewhere. The fuel valve is higher than the lowest part of the tank. Moisture accumulates. The low points get pin holes, at best. THIS one has been soldered up then chemically cleaned. Black primered. Its a ready to use tank. I have restored 2 xz550 Visions and have used this tank while waiting for paintwork. This is a solid tank. Well suited for paint. This tank is from a 1982 model. It will fit on an 83. Best to leave a number if you please. I can ship or deliver local DC area.
