This is our 2016 Ram ProMaster 2500 camper van. Its served us well for years as an adventuremobile for us and our dog, having criss-crossed North America multiple times and visited 37 states and 8 provinces. Were only selling it because our family has grown and we need a third seat! Were the second owners of this van; the original folks built it out themselves and lived in it full time for over a year. We made some upgrades and changes to make it better suited for part-time living and multi-week adventures (some ourselves, with most work done by the amazing Cassidy at Kamper Vans in Reno, NV). Everything about this van is designed for practicality and weve found it straightforward to modify as you learn more about what you need in a van. Its fantastic for traveling with a dog (ours will miss the van terribly). When youre not adventuring, this van is also a very practical stuff hauler: weve moved pianos, furniture, and large amounts of lumber with ease. Our asking price is $54,000 OBO. Clean title, no accidents, in overall excellent condition. Here are the brief stats: - 2016 Ram ProMaster 2500 High Roof - 159 wheelbase -- fits in normal parking spots, weve parallel parked this in SF and NYC. Also fits on the ferry to Newfoundland. - Rare window van version of the ProMaster, giving incredible views with windows all around the van (though we have window covers for all windows when you want privacy) - 85,685 miles (the vast majority long highway miles) - Rear backup camera, satellite radio/CD player/Bluetooth/GPS Nav, cruise control, heated driver and passenger seats. - Automatic transmission, FWD, hill assist, stability control, traction control, etc. - Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires (~40k miles, warrantied through 70k miles). Full size spare. - All maintenance done on time at Ram dealerships. Heres how its built out: - Electrical system: 2x 100W solar panels + interconnect with factory upgraded 220A alternator. Renogy 40A Commander MPPT charge controller. 2000W pure sine inverter (4000W peak). Blue Sea Systems 7622 ML-ACR automatic charging relay to disconnect house batteries from starter battery if low. 2x AGM 12V 125AH batteries -- literally never run out of power, even when running fridge, Star, etc. The setup allows you to charge or even start the van from the house batteries. Ample power outlets throughout van -- three on inverter itself, one outlet w/ USB-C ports in kitchen, rear DC outlet and USB charging ports near bed. - Kitchen: Electric pump faucet (Seaflow 55 series pump + Camco 5 micron filter) -- water automatically turns on when you turn on the faucet. Grey water (5 gal) and clean water (7 gal) removable storage tanks under sink for easy filling and emptying. Pop-out dining table with heavy-duty supports. Slide-out chest fridge/freezer that doubles as a chair and step. - Lighting: All LED lighting. Two zones of overhead lights for kitchen and bed, dimmable reading light strip over bed, color changing light strips over kitchen, storage area lighting (accessible from rear for easy loading/unloading). - Storage: Ample storage along drivers side in the form of large overhead storage bins, two large pull-out drawers, plus four smaller drawers in kitchen. All cabinets/drawers secured with Southco marine-grade heavy duty latches: easy to use and super secure. Storage hooks throughout van, easy to add more given the plywood panels throughout. Huge under bed storage area that is accessible from both front and rear -- we found the open space very practical compared to storage drawers for bulky items, camping/climbing gear, and dog supplies. - Bedroom: Full size bed (mattress included -- has always been in a waterproof protective cover since purchase). Reading shelf above bed for books, phone, etc. - Front passenger swivel lets chair rotate fully - Swivel mount for Vornado fan (fan not included) - FantasticFan reversible vent fan with thermostat, IR remote, and rain sensor (automatically closes if it starts raining) - Front passenger chair swivel - Dometic 975 portable toilet (never used!) with custom-built enclosure for use as a step in/out of the bed (used daily!) - Full set of window covers and bug netting -- VanEssential custom-made magnetic window covers for passenger, rear, and side windows, as well as homemade custom window covers for rear side windows. Custom insulated front windshield cover (suction cups). Set of VanEssential custom passenger window bug nets -- leave the windows open for a breeze at night! Living In A Bubble sliding door magnetic bug net. - Prime Design aluminum rear ladder. Super helpful for roof maintenance while on the road or just getting great views. Bonus accessories included with sale: - Camp Chef dual burner propane stove (runs off portable 1lb propane canisters) - ARB 50qt Classic Series Fridge/Freezer (+ stickers) - X-BULL Recovery Boards (in case you get stuck...) - Blueair 411 Air Purifier (great during fire season...) - VIAIR 88P Air Compressor - Snow chains (because sometimes you gotta get over the Donner Pass) The list of stuff doesnt capture the awesomeness of this van. Heres some narrative descriptions of stuff that weve found useful: - The slide-out fridge doubles as a perfect chair for the kitchen and second step into the bed. Our dog would hop into bed by jumping onto the fridge then into the bed! - The bed platform raises to provide easy access to the battery box and electrical system for maintenance. - The roof was professionally re-sealed as part of regular maintenance last year, and should be leak-free for years to come. It just made it through Hurricane Helene without any leaks (which even caused our house roof to leak!). - Weve installed hooks all over the van to hold jackets, bags, leashes, masks, and to secure bulky items in storage. Its easy to add more where you need them because the van is built with heavy-duty plywood everywhere. - We converted the original bedframe from a queen size to a full size to make the living area larger. You could, however, convert this back if you wanted a larger bed! - At first glance, the solar panels may seem undersized for the system -- but because the batteries are so large, and since they charge from the engine too, weve always had ample power. Just a few minutes of running the engine does wonders on cloudy days. - This van has a towing hitch! Weve never used it, but had considered getting a hitch-mounted bike rack for extra transport. - The size of this van is (in our opinion) perfect for folks who will be spending time in cities as well as in more rural areas. Weve had no trouble at all navigating and parking in many major North American cities, including San Francisco, New York, and Montreal. This van drives like a car and is really easy to get used to, in part thanks to the excellent visibility it provides. - This van isnt stealth by any means (the ladder is a give away), but it also doesnt stick out too much -- in a pinch, weve been able to stealth camp with this. - The bug nets are wonderful, and are very effective at keeping flying critters out. With the fan going, you get a nice breeze all the time!
