Their description indicates that Klose was a professor at the Paris Conservatory with another famous clarinet maker, Buffet. They redesigned the fingering of the clarinet. Their redesign is still widely used today. Brook Mays indicates instrument features are Grenadilla wood, under-cut tone hole, power forged nickel-silver keys, adjustable thumb rest, ergonomically correct register key, and improved bridge key design.
