Authentic Navajo Wool Rug Weaving in Wide Ruins Regional Style. Hand woven and hand dyed by Marie Begay on Navajo reservation. 22 inches by 32 inches. Purchased new in 2004 at Gallup, New Mexico Tribal International and in storage since then. Brightly Multi-colored rug with serial bands of tan, sunshine yellow and pale blue colored designs, highlighted with touch of deep red, layered on a light mocha brown background, as with Wide Ruins style. Colors are soft and muted in a settled pattern, providing a peaceful harmonious ambience on viewing. There are smaller narrow bands between the main design, as with the Wide Ruins pattern. To view and purchase, a meeting can be arranged at a secure public place in Madison area such as a library. Payment for the rug must be in cash, please. Please communicate an interest by email.
