These barrels are sealed metal barrels we cut the bottom out of. We turn them over because the bung caps on the now bottom can be unscrewed for air holes. These barrels are for burning in and fire needs oxygen. You can use them however to hold your shovels, brooms, rakes, etc. Because we cut them with a manual barrel opener much like your hand-held can opener in your kitchen, the first inch down from the opened section is sharp.
