This table is the perfect size for most rooms. Even better, it tilts for convenient storage, if necessary. This beautiful table dates to the late 1800s, specifically before 1890, when the Eastlake period ended. Luckily, it’s held up well over the last 135-140 years. There are a few faint scratches, but they are barely noticeable. The table top is 36 inches in diameter. It stands 28 inches high. The tilt top mechanism is a simple piece of wood that turns to secure the table on an underlying platform. The bottom of the table has legs that are in the typical Eastlake design. The previous owner put carpet pads on the bottom of the legs to protect the floor. The table is sturdy and heavy, solid walnut. They don’t make them like this any more. It’s beautiful, high quality, practical, very old, and in really good shape.
