This WW2 US Army Air Force AAF BRIEF Pacific Theater Magazine is in good condition but does show expected signs of age and storage. The issue is clearly dated 8 MAY 45, which is very significant as that is VE Victory In Europe Day. As this magazine was specifically printed for Army Air Force personnel in the Pacific Theater, there was still a considerable interval between VE Day and VJ Day and these servicemen must have certainly been aware of it! This issue has great content on P-51 Mustangs at Iwo Jima, B-29 bombing raids over Tokyo and B-17s being used as rescue craft. The back cover also offers a stunning pin-up poster featuring Yvonne de Carlo. Covers and pages are in good condition and are mostly clean, no rips, tears, stains or other signs of abuse or neglect are present. This magazine is an excellent source for research opportunities as many of the photographs included were not widely reproduced after WW2. $20 OBO
