Village Cobbled Street Scene Original Watercolor Painting by Szende Dezső (Hungary, early-20th Century). Dated 1922. Framed Watercolor on paper. Signed and dated by the artist. Szende Dezső (born in Budapest 1887, died 1979?) Dezső graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts as a drawing teacher and taught in Budapest. He also trained in Nagybanya in 1918. His works were exhibited in several exhibitions, and in 1926 he exhibited at the National Salon. His works are also housed in the Hungarian National Gallery. Dezső, a drawing teacher and painter from Privigy, presented his paintings and drawings, 68 pieces, for the first time, in the art salon of the Budapest publishing house Knyves Klmn. The critics welcomed the young artist sympathetically and highlighted his solid drawing skills, which are particularly artistically effective where sketches are concerned. Among his paintings, perhaps his few picturesque landscapes are the most striking. His painting style leaves nothing to be desired in terms of boldness.
