This bad-boy is not only super heavy-duty, its a great running quiet smooth AC Electric Motor. We have it wired for 115 volt Single phase powercan be changed to 230 v easilyand ran it for 20 minutes. It ran great and no heat at all. Looking at the shaft, it runs counter-clockwise. It has a 3/4 shaft at 4.5 h 8 from base. Maybe you need a replacement motor for your Machine shop Metal Lathe or other Shop equipment like a steel Band Saw , Tube Bender ,Sheet Metal Shear or other Fabricating Machines.
