As a DSP you will support people who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own homes and communities. DSPs provide the supports people need to live self-directed lives, including caregiver supports like food prep, personal care, and following support plans. Your day will include helping someone go out and have fun, maintain their home, plan meals, cook, follow personal health/daily routines, and achieve their dreams! We are looking for individuals who are ethical, patient, reliable, tenacious, compassionate, and adaptable. While this work can be challenging at times, its incredibly rewarding to see the progress and growth that the children we serve make every day. TRANSITION & CHILDREN SERVICES DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL – STARTING AT $19 AN HOUR As a Direct Support Professional on the Transition & Childrens Services team, you will play a vital role in helping children aged 10 to 18 build stable lives, learn essential life skills, form friendships, and develop effective communication skills. DAYBREAK ACTIVITY ASSOCIATE - STARTING AT $15.50 AN HOUR All Star Labor and Staffing is now looking to hire Daybreak Activity Associate in the Salem Area. Assists with providing educational activities that help maintain the skills of individuals within the program. Acts as a positive role model and ensures a safe work environment is always maintained. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: Assists with planned educational activities. Assists with participants on outings. Assists in ensuring implementation, documentation, and tracking of ISP goals; documents progress and activities as needed. Assists in ensuring medications are administered properly and that medication administration record keeping (MARS) is maintained. Provides assistance and personal care to program participants in use of restroom and in clean-up. Assists in maintaining the kitchen area of the facility. May provide transportation for participants when needed Attends meetings and participates in committees as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned. Specific Job Skills Required: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to use standard office equipment including basic computer hardware/software and a calculator. Ability to perform basic math. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/1st Aid Certification, OIS. Ability to push/pull wheelchairs and lift individuals out of wheelchairs. Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, reach, stoop, and make repetitive motions of hand/wrists/arms frequently throughout a normal workday. Ability to push up to 100 pounds, and to carry up to 10 pounds frequently in a normal workday. Ability to pull up to 200 pounds and to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance occasionally in a normal workday.
