This is an older high-quality commercial scale from the well-known TOLEDO manufacturer of industrial grade scales. It still works perfectly. I was told it might have been used in a candy store or similar application. Called the “Speedweigh”, it has a sliding weight on the side that goes to one pound. With tare weights of known weight, I have weighed as high as five pounds because the scale functions essentially as a balance. Strictly mechanical. No batteries, no chip boards, and no electronics to go haywire. Fully operable and ready to use. Suitable for business, or for the home in weighing small packages, food products, etc. The only disadvantage of this scale is that the user must be able to add and subtract.
