This beautiful Duncan Phyfe style dining room set was probably made in the late 1930 s or early 1940 s era. The table legs have the lyre design in the middle of each leg that matches the lyre backs on the chairs. The table top has been refinished and the legs have been cleaned and restored back to their original finish and the brass feet on the table legs are original, There are 5 side chairs and 1 captains chair that have been re-glued, restored, and the seats all have new upholstery. There are 312 leaves that can be inserted to expand the table to 98. There are the original table pads that are still in excellent condition. The table has 2 drop leaves that can be popped up into place or left down when you want the table smaller. The table with the drop leaves down is 42 wide by 32 long and 29.5 high. With the drop leaves up the table expands to 42 wide by 62 long. With all the leaves in, the table expands to 98 long. The Duncan Phyfe style tables are so versatile because you have so many size options depending on how many guests you have.Anywhere from 2-12 people.The chair seats are 18 wide and 18 high and the backs are 38 high. The captains chair seat is 20 wide so a little wider than the side chairs. The table and chairs are all in excellent condition and are ready for a new home.
